With one of the most modern machine parks in the plastics industry and the constant modernization process with high investments and the permanent quality assurance of our products, we have been able to continuously convince customers of our products since 1998.

With a production capacity of seven extrusion lines, we produce high-quality plastic sheets and films for demanding customers from a wide range of industries. The modern production facilities and the expertise of our employees enable our customers to deliver in a few weeks to sometimes just a few days! The increase in our annual production volume from 25,000 tons to 30,000 tons is one of the proofs of our economic success.

With a team of creative thinkers, highly qualified and committed employees, we offer our customers extensive specialist knowledge combined with production and services. The weekly training courses for our employees summarize the solutions we have created and the options we offer, so that we always meet the demands for flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and requirements. Stefan Nickolai - CEO and owner of Universal Polythex  

The managing partner, Mr. Stefan Nickolai, was born on May 12, 1966 in Saarbrucken. After commercial training and many years of experience as a sales agent and sales manager, he switched to the plastics industry in 2000. There he quickly learned the specifications of the various plastics and their products as well as the production processes and knew how to sell them successfully.

As a so-called “lateral entrant”, he did not completely adhere to the rules of the market and relied on automation of the existing machinery as well as new purchases in order to offer the market something that did not exist at the time: flexibility!

As a result, he and his team were able to gain enormous market shares within a very short time, as the customers of Universal Polythex Kunststoffe GmbH at the time also gained business shares thanks to the newfound flexibility.

Stefan Nickolai acquired shares in Universal Polythex Kunststoffe GmbH back in 2005 and acted as managing partner from then on.

In 2018 he acquired 100% of the shares in the company and has since been the sole owner of Universal Polythex Kunststoffe GmbH. After an ever-increasing production volume and the resulting expansion of the machine park, Universal Polythex Kunststoffe GmbH has quickly established itself in the production of standard products (polystyrene and ABS). 

In the following years, Stefan Nickolai managed to attract competent employees from his competitors to his company, which led to a further improvement process in the introduction of new products and specifications.

Today, Universal Polythex Kunststoffe GmbH has one of the most modern machine parks and can call itself a reliable supplier of high-quality products in almost all market segments.
